A Study on the Nursing Students Attitude on Dealth and Hospice

Abstract
The purpose of this study were to find of nursing students attitude on death and hospice. The subjects of study were 84 junior students who checked questionnaire.
The data were analysed by descriptive analysis.
The results of the study can be summarized as follows
1. The attitude on death
1) The degree of knowledge on their terminal illness was 97.5%.
2) 46.2% of the responants considered the meaning of death as the phenomenon of nature.
3) 62.6% of the respondants wanted to die at home, 1 .2% at hospice ward, 25.3% at hospice care unit.
4) 54% of the respondants replied that they wanted to complete unfinished things before death.
5) 64.6% of the respondants had a positive attitude to their death, 34.30o had negative attitude to their death.
2. The attitude on hospice
1) 36.9% of the respondants replied that most adequate hospice management institution is a hospital.
2) Most of the respondants recognize That hospice care must be a role of the medical team(92.8%).
3) 76.10o of the respondants replied that hospice mu must to he n the university hospital.
4) 36.9% of the respondants want to committe in hospice service.
5) 66.2% of the respondants recognize that the most important things are being with terminal illness patient.
Therefore, following suggestions are commended
1) Development of hospice educational program for the noising students.
2) Development of practice program for the nursing students as experience of hospice care.
